※ Working principle
· Ionization process: under vacuum, the furnace is filled with an appropriate amount of nitrogen containing gas, such as nitrogen or ammonia. A pulsed electric field of specific frequency, voltage and duty cycle is applied between the furnace and the workpiece by an all-digital pulse power supply to ionize the nitrogen-containing gas and form charged particles such as nitrogen ions, hydrogen ions and electrons.
· bombardment and heating: under the action of electric field, positive ions such as nitrogen ions are accelerated and bombarded at high speed on the surface of the workpiece. The kinetic energy of the ions is converted into heat energy, which rapidly heats the workpiece to the temperature required for nitriding, generally 500-650 ° C.
· nitride reaction: nitrogen ions obtain electrons on the surface of the workpiece to reduce into nitrogen atoms, nitrogen atoms continue to penetrate the surface of the workpiece, and internal diffusion, chemical reaction with metal atoms, forming the nitride layer, thereby improving the hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance of the surface of the workpiece.

※ Composition and structure
· Furnace body: generally adopts double-layer structure, the inner layer is stainless steel or heat-resistant steel, used to withstand high temperature and ion bombardment; The outer layer is made of carbon steel for protection and support. The furnace body is provided with an observation window, a temperature measuring hole, an air inlet, an air outlet, etc.
· pulse power supply: it is the core component of all digital pulse ion nitriding furnace, which can produce high frequency and high voltage pulse signal to provide the required energy for ion nitriding.
· Vacuum system: composed of vacuum pump, vacuum pipe, vacuum valve and vacuum gauge, it is used to pump the furnace to the required vacuum degree and create a good vacuum environment for ion nitriding.
· Gas supply system: including gas storage tank, gas flowmeter, regulating valve, etc., used to accurately control and adjust the flow rate and pressure of nitrogen-containing gas, to ensure the stability of gas composition and pressure in the furnace.
